Tyson turns 8 months old

Tyson turned 8 months old yesterday. Every month on his birthday I take his picture and use puzzle pieces to write how old he is. It has actually been quite fun and will be really cute in his baby book. So, I sat him down and from that minute on he was determined to get that number 8. I was pulling out all the tricks trying to get him to look at me. I even gave him the number 7. But no, he wanted the 8.
Quick take the picture he is not only looking but smiling too.
And... VICTORY!!! He got the number 8 just seconds after I took his picture. As you can see by the grin on his face he is quite happy about his success. You can see Gracie's little feet in the background. She was coming to help him reach the number 8 but he had beat her to it. She is so good about helping her lil brother out.
Gracie to the rescue. She said, "oh no no no lil buddy this needs to stay right nere." It was about that time I was calling in the back up to try and distract Mr T from the number 8.
Then I asked Gracie to go sit by Tyson so I can take their picture together. This is what I got. Gracie hugging Tyson. He is such a trooper. She is always giving him great big bear hugs and he never makes a peep. Who would have ever thought that taking a simple 8 month picture would be such an adventure. What you would think should take just a second took about 5 minutes. Christian and I find ourselves laughing quite a bit about how our life has just become one great big adventure.
After Tyson's photo shoot Gracie wanted to take our picture. Minus cutting off the top of my head I must say she did pretty good. She would make a bunch of noise and jump up and down before taking the picture to get us to look. As you can see by Tyson's face he doesn't really know what to think.
After taking Tyson and my picture she yells for "Christian." I think that she might have a future in photography.
And then I had the great idea of setting the timing on the camera to get a family picture. I think we were all laughing pretty hard by this time. So, as i said everything is an adventure but at least we get some good laughs along the way.

Sunny days....

We had a few sunny days last week which was so nice. Gracie had the great idea of eating her snack outside on the deck. As you can see she is wearing capris and flip flops(oh and a dress under her jacket) but had to put her hood on because it was very cold out. She sat on her little chair with her feet kicked up for sometime. So, this winter right before Christmas we saw a deer in our field. Ever since then she will look and look and look for "santa's reindeer." We are so glad to be out of the city a bit so we can sit on the deck and have privacy while doing so.
We sure can't wait for summer, but until then we will just sit on the deck and hope to catch just one more glimpse of "santa's reindeer."

Here goes nothing...

So, I can not believe that I am actually starting a blog. I must be running out of things to do around the house or something. I really have no clue what I am doing, so this should be interesting. I thought that it would be fun to start a blog so that at the end of the year I can get it put into a book for the kids. Kind of like a journal I guess. I also thought it would be fun for family that we don't get to talk to everyday see what kind of exciting things the Schamlz' are up to. So, I look forward to documenting our journey entitled "LIFE" and I hope that you enjoy following it. Here goes nothing...
